Journal Entry:
What is water potential and what two components are considered when calculating?
Learning Intentions
We will learn how to calculate percent change in mass.
We will learn to describe water potential, what components are factored into water potential, and how to use Ψs=-iRCT equation to solve for water potential of a cell.
We will learn how to determine unknown solute concentration for cells found in a potato or zucchini to determine water potential of those cells.
Closing Task:
You can efficiently and effectively collect your final data for your lab.
You can answer analysis questions about your data using water potential and percent change in mass calculations.
