Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn how to use a simple calorimeter to calculate the energy content of food.

Students will learn how to determine the energy content of foods by burning the food, measuring the change in temperature of water above the burning food, and calculating the heat that was transferred using q=mCpΔT.
