Learning Intentions
You will learn the different types of Matter and characteristics of each type.
You will learn the difference between pure substances and mixtures.
You will create diagram to help them classify different types of matter based on the characteristics of each.
You will use the diagram you created to classify a 20 substances around the room as one of the different types of matter learned and explain why they classified each the way they did.

Students can identify types and phases of matter, physical and chemical properties of matter, various changes in matter and how those changes occur.

47. A homogenous suspension is a mixture of more than one pure substance, that is uniform in composition and opaque.
48. A heterogenous mixture is a mixture of more than one pure substance that is not uniform in composition
