• We will learn how to use valence electrons and location on the periodic table to predict ionic compound formulas and names

• We will learn how to name binary ionic compounds and write their chemical formulas. 

• We will learn how an ionic compound forms and to follow the rule of zero charge.

• We will learn how to create ionic compounds using Lego pieces.

Closing Task:

You can identify the cation and anion when a metal and non metal form an ionic compound and name and write the formula for the compound.
