154. In a chemical reaction, the reactants are the initial chemicals, written on the left side of an chemical equation, and the products are the resulting chemicals after the reaction and written on the right side of the chemical equation.
155. An arrow stands for “yields” and is in the middle of a chemical reaction equation to show the direction of the reaction
161. In a chemical reaction, the total mass of the reactants is equal to the total mass of the products (Law of Conservation of Mass)
162. In a complete, balanced chemical equation, the number of atoms of elements on one side of the chemical equation must match the number of atoms of elements on the other side
163. To balance an equation, one may only add a coefficient to the start of a compound to balance the amount of atoms on either side of the equation
