Journal Entry:

Write a balanced equation for the following chemical reaction.

Put 1 dropper of sodium hydroxide in a test tube. Add one drop of phenolphthalein as an indicator (not part of reaction). Add hydrochloric acid drop by drop until color change occurs. Record all observations.
