Journal Entry:
What happens to the substances involved in a chemical reaction? How does that relate to the copper cycle lab?
Learning Intentions
We will learn that the product of chemical reactions depends on what was present at the time of reaction.
We will learn the law of conservation of mass and use it to explain that matter cannot be created or destroyed in a chemical reaction.
Closing Task:
You can predict what one of the products of a chemical reaction will be based on reactants and the formula for the other product.
Content Standards being covered:
Students can identify types and phases of matter, physical and chemical properties of matter and various changes in matter and how those changes occur.
Students can crate mathematical representation of chemical reactions and use them to make calculations about products and reactants.
